Clues Are Out There
I feel pretty lucky right now.
Quite a few posts ago, I talked about my dream list. I shared my passion for travel. One of the places I really hope to visit someday is Scotland. I also shared my passion for writing and how one day I hope to be a published author.
Here’s what happened: I follow a really fantastic young adult author’s blog: Maggie Stiefvater. A recent post gave me energy again. She offered up a forum for aspiring writers to seek other aspiring writers as writing partners. What this means to me is this: I have another person in my life who is seeking the very same dream I am. Who is helping me with her own talents and excellent skills as a coach.
The fun part? I can give back exactly in the same way to help her and giving back is something I really really like to do.
So that is part one of my dream. Part two is the fact that she lives in Scotland, of all places! I am so tickled and giddy that I smile every time I email her or read her comments on my writing.
And the best part? I didn’t realize this was happening. All I know is how sad I was feeling inside. How I was praying for help. Then one Friday night, I found this blog post. I connected with this wonderful writer. And I took another fresh breath of air.
So long story short: your power over your own thoughts is pivotal to success. Be patient. Realize it’s coming. The hard part is you never know when. But when it happens, yes, do the happy dance. You’ll look back and see that the wait was worth it. ;0)
