Today I woke up with the best surprise on the planet. A small voice chirping down the hall toward my bedroom—no, the voice was singing. The voice was my son and he threw open the door belting out, Good Morning to You with the biggest grin stretched across his three year old face. I laughed. I threw the covers off the bed and I have to say, I felt energized to set some goals and move my life closer in the direction I want because I realized:
You can’t waste a minute. Everyday matters. Every positive thought matters. And with your day and your thoughts, create the action to move you exactly where you want to go.
So here’s my plan, or my dream I should say:
In order to become a professional selling author, I will spend an hour for the next couple of nights, reviewing my first six chapters and make each sentence end with a punch.
- Read each chapter out loud.
- Fill in the gaps where necessary.
- Compare what I have the first six chapters in my favorite book I plan to compete against one day.
To keep up my energy I will:
- Practice yoga 2 days this week.
- Complete at least 25 minutes of rowing on the row machine 3 times this week.
- Say positive things about my dreams.
So I’m sharing all of this with you today in hopes you’ll commit to your dream. Like me, you’ll use your imagination and set some plans in action. Visualize a new pair of shoes cushioning your feet for that first awesome step. Write down what you want. Share it with someone who matters. Set realistic goals and do it. No excuses—just action. Happiness shouldn’t be just a dream. Happiness should be yours everyday.
