Great Ideas–Endless Plans of Action
… if every idea turned brilliant in seconds?
My worst enemy.
Something so great starts out simple…then you wonder if you can make it better and before you know it, you’ve thought the initial idea through all sorts of levels and directions. Then a new problem presents itself—you can’t stop thinking.
This is a serious situation—for me anyway. When my brain starts spinning off into separate tangents, I blueprint a huge map. I can’t find the end for the beginning and I’m lost, looking around, up in the air, back in the shadows for what? I can’t remember. So which direction do you pick to get to the final destination?
Usually by this point I’ve enlisted a whole crew to get me to the end—chalk it up to indecision.
So how do I get out of it?
I give myself a cut-off time—I gather everything together and use a great skill I’ve learned—my gut reaction. SIGH. I can move on to something else and I have no one else to blame for another step up the ladder of my life but me.
